Mortgage/Life Administrator

Salary: £15,000 – £22,000 (depending of experience) + bonus scheme

Job Description: Providing administrative support to designated advisers ensuring every application is processed in an efficient and effective manner.

Job Responsibilities:

General:

Portray a professional image, in such a manner so as to enhance the reputation of the company with both customers and introducers alike.

  • Communicate in a professional manner, ensuring the client/s and all other relevant parties are kept fully informed.

  • Establish good working relationships with all Sales Advisors.

  • Establish a professional and close working relationship with Introducers.

  • Assist senior management with ad hoc duties as and when required.

  • Comply with company procedures and guidelines at all times.

Mortgage Processing:

Process the application through to legal completion in an efficient and compliant manner.

  • Ensure all applications are accurate and complete.

  • Ensure all supporting documentation has been provided.

  • Load and scan client information correctly on to Revolution.

  • Set reviews to ensure application is processed promptly through to offer stage.

  • Communicate with the lender throughout the process, providing additional information if required.

  • Check mortgage offer to ensure accuracy.

  • Communicate regularly with solicitors through to legal completion.

  • Maintain accurate and up to date notes commentary for compliance purposes.

Protection Processing:

Process the protection application through to policy authorisation in an efficient and compliant manner.

  • Set reviews by which the product provider is chased to ensure early underwriting and issuing of acceptance terms.

  • Communicate with client/s and Medical Practitioners to ensure medical evidence is returned without delay.

  • Communicate with the product providers throughout the process, providing additional information as and when it is requested.

  • Check terms of acceptance and ensure protection policies are ‘risked’ in accordance with client/s wishes.

  • Maintain accurate and up to date notes commentary for compliance purposes.

General Insurance Processing:

Process the general insurance application through to policy authorisation in an efficient and compliant manner.

  • Set reviews by which the product provider is chased to ensure early underwriting and issuing of acceptance terms.

  • Communicate with product providers throughout the process providing additional information as and when it is requested.

  • Check terms of acceptance and ensure the general insurance policies are ‘risked’ in accordance with client/s wishes.

  • Maintain accurate and up to date notes commentary for compliance purposes.

Compliance Responsibilities

  • Ensure applications are completed fully and accurately.

  • Follow and adhere to company procedures and guidelines at all times

  • Follow and adhere to all regulatory requirements as set out by the FSA

  • Ensure information that comes to light which conflicts with the original information provided is brought to the attention of line management.

  • Maintain a clear and concise notes commentary on all applications.

Treating Customers Fairly

The individual is also responsible for supporting the culture of TCF and ensuring it is embedded in the company. This involves:-

  • Being constantly mindful of TCF

  • Ensuring processes and actions meet the 6 consumer outcomes

  • Recommending improvements where appropriate

  • Embracing the culture of TCF in day-to-day working practice
